Tips for out of the Country Relocation November 17, 2008

Moving internationally is more complicated than moving to another city. The regulations are stricter and the cost much higher. If it is a permanent move it is a must to check out packing instructions so you won’t have problems with the customs department. It is not advisable to bring with you heavy furniture coz the cost of shipping it might be the same as buying a new one, unless you are carrying a priced antique furniture then this is an exception. Most of the things you will bring are mostly personal stuff and valuable items so great care must be given in packing those things.

For international moves it is more convenient to hire the professional packers and movers because they are more informed of international packing standards. Just let them know that it is an international move. After hiring a local mover you also have to coordinate a company at your country of destination to pick up and deliver your goods. Local moving companies can also do the relocation from your originating country to your destination.

Have a detailed list of all the items being moved and indicate the value of each. This will be used for declaring the value of the goods being transported. The value of the goods being shipped is also used for insuring it. Do not try to undervalue your goods to save on insurance, having the correct value of it will ensure that in case something happens you will be properly compensated.

Some people will also consider transporting their cars to another country but there are many factors to think of before considering this option. Some countries have environmental restrictions on car so be sure to check if your car meets their standards. Check to see if the country where you are moving to is a left-handed or right-handed driving country. If your car is not the same, check how much it will cost to have it converted. Also another point to consider is if your drivers license allowed in that country or do you have to apply for another one. Transferring your car to another country has a lot of cost implications so you have to weigh if it is more effective if you will just buy a new one.

All these concerns are much better discussed with your furniture removals company and the consulate office.

Filed under: Uncategorized — projectfamilyhome @ 6:50 am

epc-electronicgadget-418-1-lReally…really cute alarm clock…to set the alarm just turn switch on insert all 5 eggs into the hen…then when alram goes off all the eggs will drop from the alarm to the basket so the basket should be where it is supposed to be.

To turn off the alarm just insert back all the eggs to the clock then switch it off.

Interesting!
